Volunteer Firefighters Club at James Madison University
The Volunteer Firefighters Club of James Madison University brings together students who share an interest in firefighting, emergency medical services, rescue, public safety, and service to the community. VFC gives members a place to build practical experience, develop leadership skills, train alongside other responders, and become part of a team centered on service.
VFC works hand in hand with Hose Company No. 4 in Rockingham County. Through that relationship, our members have opportunities to participate in training, station activities, community events, fundraising, and the day-to-day culture of the fire service. The partnership connects the university community with local public safety and gives VFC members meaningful opportunities to learn and contribute.
Whether a student arrives at JMU with years of fire or EMS experience or is simply interested in learning more about emergency services, VFC is designed to create opportunities for involvement, growth, and service.
